SUMMER DAYS

Every day for two weeks, we host "Summer Days".
Twelve rooms feature activities around a theme for the day.
Prizes are given for every three rooms young people partitipate in,
with special opportunity prizes offered on Thursday to those who make it to all twelve rooms every day!
Character Day -- Tuesday, May 26th
'Rocking' Kindness Day -- Wednesday, May 27th
Radio Free Day ** -- Thursday, May 28th
** On Radio Free day, there are no phones, tablets, Chromebooks, computers, microwaves fpr students or staff. We were 99% successful in redirecting play and ways to learn! It was a joy to experience all the positive interaction and energy!!

Helpful tip for the week:
2026 Tip #21
A 5-Minute Barefoot Reset

You don't need a beach vacation - a backyard, park, or patch of grass works!
- Take off your shoes and stand still. Let your feet settle into the ground.
- Notice the senations. Is the surface cool or warm? Soft or firm? Just observe.
- Walk slowly. Feel each heel touch down, then the ball of each foot, then your toes.
- Sync your breath to your steps. Inhale for two steps, exhale for three or four steps (let the exhalation be slightly longer).
- Widen your awareness. Notice sounds, light, and air on your skin while keeping your attention anchored in your feet.
If your mind wanders (and it will), gently bring it back to the sensation of your feet meeting the ground.
Five minues is enought to shift the way your body feels. Longer is even better, but just a short reset can make a difference.
